The ARMY APPRENTICE ... remember with pride

Donations

We have now received generous donations totalling just over £64K. This has covered the costs of construction of the Army Apprentice National Memorial and it's dedication ceremony.

The Chairman and Trustee's of the AANM Charity express their sincere thanks to all donors, whose generosity has made possible the creation of this Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum. This ensures that the Army Apprentice will not be forgotten and provides a tranquil place for our heritage to be remembered for many years into the future.

Extra funding, to provide support in the years ahead, is required for the maintenance and upkeep of the memorial and it's immediate surrounding area. Insurance of the actual memorial also has to be updated year on year. All this requires funding of at least £40k, to provide a suitable annuity. The NMA is part of the British Legion and as such, has no funds to maintain individual memorials. However, we are not charged a rent and people can visit the NMA without charge. We therefore continue our quest and your support for donations.

The current funding position will be announced following our AGM and Trustees meeting on Thursday 9th February 2012.

Just print out the Donation form from the link above, fill in your details and mail it together with your cheque to the Fund Treasurer. We regret we are unable to process online or credit card payments at the moment.

Donations must be made payable to “AOBA No 2 Account (AANM)” and sent to the Fund’s Treasurer, Major Mike J Davis MBE, Rosebank, New Buildings, Sandford, Crediton, Devon, EX17 4PP.
